Today was a truly special day at Paull Primary School as we celebrated two incredible milestones – the graduation of our Class 2 Mental Health Champions and the presentation of our prestigious Gold Mental Health Champion School Award.
The afternoon brought together pupils, families, governors, staff and invited guests to recognise the outstanding commitment and leadership shown by our Mental Health Champions throughout the year. Our graduating champions proudly shared their learning by delivering a fantastic workshop for parents, confidently showcasing the skills, knowledge and passion they have developed through the programme.
We are immensely proud to have achieved Gold Mental Health Champion School status. This award recognises schools where mental health and wellbeing are fully embedded within school life and where pupil voice plays a central role in shaping a positive and supportive environment. Paull Primary is currently one of only 21 schools nationally to hold this award and the only school in the East Riding of Yorkshire to have achieved Gold status.
This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire school community. Our pupils have demonstrated exceptional leadership through assemblies, wellbeing initiatives, community events and peer support, while our staff, governors, parents and community partners have all played an important role in helping us create a school where every child feels safe, valued and listened to.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate today, including our families, governors, community partners and special guests. Your continued encouragement and support are invaluable and help us to ensure that promoting positive mental health and wellbeing remains at the heart of everything we do.
A special thank you also goes to our Mental Health Champions, who continue to inspire us with their kindness, compassion and commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of others. They should all be incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
Keep an eye out for coverage of today's celebration in the Holderness Gazette, and don't forget to tune into BBC Radio Humberside tomorrow morning at 7:10am, where Mrs Holmes and Miss Thompson will be chatting about this fantastic achievement and what it means for our wonderful little school.
Congratulations once again to all of our Mental Health Champions—you have shown that no matter how young you are, you can make a real difference.
We couldn't be prouder!
