๐ŸŒณForest School Class 2-Nettle soup, toast and jacket potatoes ๐ŸŒณ

This afternoon, the children in class 2 cooked nettle soup, toast and jacket potatoes on the campfire. Our recipe for Nettle soup was: a bowl full of nettles, 2 large potatoes, 1 onion, vegetable stock, 500ml of boiling water and mixed herbs.
The benefits of eating nettles: They provide significant health benefits, acting as a nutrient-dense superfood rich in vitamins A,C,K and essential minerals like iron, calcium and magnesium. They reduce inflammation, support joint health, alleviate seasonal allergies, boost immunity and help manage blood pressure.

Some children really enjoyed the taste of the nettle soup and some didnโ€™t, but at least they all gave it a try! Well done.
